Film Profile

Don

Don / Don

The film „Don“ was created between 2002 and 2003 in the furthest South parishes of the Vrhbosanska archbishop's district Obri and Solakova kula in the central part of Bosnia and Hercegovina. The catholic priest, Don Anto Ledić, is trying o make a mosaic of understanding and tolerance. He has been conducting his pastoral work covering the vast mostly rural area inhabited by old and needy parishioners who remained in this area. Here there are less living parishioners every day. A large number of humanitarian actions were started and supported by Don Anto. It was for all people in this area, without dstinction in confession and ethnic background. In addition to everything else, Don Anto is the only priest who practises weightlifting. One day, even though
seven years after the war, he is inviting the parishioners, as he was doing in war-torn Sarajevo, to pray for the soul of the murderer. „Don“ is a story about love and death, bravery and forgiveness, a film about the reality of today's Bosnia and Hecegovina.
