Hoping for work and better social conditions, people leave their homeland, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. After going through some extremely humiliating procedures, they become “guest workers” in Munich. The documentary won several awards at Oberhausen in 1972, and triggered Srong debates.
