DOCUMENTARY AWARD “REMEMBRANCE AND FUTURE” ON TOUR

Last autumn the Foundation “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future“ and goEast announced the competition for the new “Remembrance and Future” documentary award, which is endowed with prize money of € 10,000. The award aims to honour directors from Central and Eastern Europe who critically and constructively analyze social developments in their countries of origin, and thereby point out future-oriented perspectives. The future can be shaped by those who choose not to ignore the past. During the 8th edition of the goEast Filmfestival in April 2008 the Romanian director Thomas Ciulei with his film PODUL DE FLORI / FLOWERBRIDGE won the documentary award.
The documentary award „Remembrance and Future“ on tour is supported by the Foundation „Remembrance, Responsibility and Future“ and is organized with national and international cooperation partners of goEast.
