Director Dušan Makavejev realized the surreal striving to visualize suppressed psychological sides of society in a film about freudian, marxistic psycho analyst Wilhelm Reich. W.R. - Mysteries of the Organism deals with Reich’s thesis about the interdependence of sexual and social freedom. The film was banned for a long time. In 2002, W.R. was presented at goEast as part of the symposium “Subversion of the Surreal”. Recently new film copies are available at the Berlinale forum.
