A love story is told in a world where human cloning of persons is possible and provided by private corporations. Rebecca’s consuming love forces her to bear the clone of her dead beloved. From his infancy to manhood, she faces the unavoidable complexities of her controversial decision. The film deals with problems about how cloning might affect private lives, and with the moral and ethical issues involved by it.
