KÝM SA SKONČÍ TÁTO NOC / VOR DEM ENDE DER NACHT
On a cold winter evening the patrons of a cool nightclub are dancing, drinking and flirting away. When two young men on a night out meet two young women, the foursome’s interaction with other guests spins an intricate web of relationships harbouring enormous potential for conflict. And before the night is over this overheated microcosmos will inflict many a disappointment on its temporary dwellers. A chamber piece offering, thanks to improvised dialogue, direct glimpses into what goes on inside people’s heads. goEast is screening KÝM SA SKONČÍ TÁTO NOC / BEFORE TONIGHT IS OVER, a cult film of the Czechoslovakian New Wave, in tribute to Peter Solan, who died aged 84 on 21 September 2013.
