BARIERA / BARRIER

The nameless young hero attempts to overcome the barriers separating him from the world about him: barriers of age, of money, of old rituals, conventions and hierarchies. He drops out of college, moves out of his student hostel, stops “selling” himself to the state for a paltry allowance. He dreams of going up in the world: rich wife, suburban villa, Jaguar – turbo-bourgeoisification is on the agenda. Then he meets a young woman with very different ideals, and his views begin to change.
